Tulou, Ancient Earthen Complexes of China

Tulou is a kind of earthen houses, built by Hakka and Minnan peoples in the mountainous and rural areas of south-eastern China, mainly in the province of Fujian. They were mostly built between the 12th and the 20th centuries. Tulou is a powerful, multi-storey homes, usually circular in shape, with a very thick, 'almost 6 feet' of mud walls, reinforced with wood, bamboo and stones, with access to the central courtyard through one door only. The result is a well-lit, well-ventilated, windproof and earthquake-proof building that is warm in winter and cool in summer. Tulous usually have only one main gate, guarded by 4–5-inch-thick  or 100–130 mm wooden doors reinforced with an outer shell of iron plate. The top level of these earth buildings has gun holes for defensive purposes. In the middle of the stone courtyard is a small building performing ceremonial functions like weddings, funerals, prayer. The courtyard is surrounded by wooden corridors leading to housing consisting of two or three rooms. The two lowest floors of Tulou are bulky, do not have windows and are most commonly used as warehouses and granaries, while homes are located above the second floor.

Self-taught artist Demetria Skye

Self-taught Scottish artist Demetria Skye has created a series of adorable illustrations of Baymax from the Big Hero 6 film. The big inflatable robot co-splaying as many Disney characters, including a few of the princesses. she uses various pens and pencils in her doodling and drawing. Baymax is her latest craze, though She does seem to have a classical geek education in various shows, both live action and animated. The drawings themselves are cheerful and vibrant in color, a fun contrast to the material one deals on a daily basis.

Buzkashi, The national sport of Afghanistan

Many sports involve an animal but its hide and we dont think about it, and you say how, like cricket, basketballs, footballs all are made with animal leather. Same in Afghanistan they dont use leather, even the game ball is a complete goat, without head and hooves. Buzkashi the national sport of Afghanistan's, means goat-grabbing. Where it is often played on Fridays and matches draw thousands of fans. Beloved by Uzbeks, Tajiks, Kyrgz, Kazakhs, Pashtuns and Turkmens as well as Afghans, the equestrian sport known as Kokpar or Buzkashi is a rugged, and traditionally extremely violent, game similar to polo with one surprising twist; rather than hitting a ball with mallets toward a goal, players vie for control of a headless animal carcass. The chapandaz (rider) and their horses go through rigorous training before competing in the game. The goal is to grab the carcass of 35 Kg goat, clear it of the other players and get it into a target circle to attain points.

A to Zoë, Father Teaching Alphabet to his Daughter

The designer Tommy Perez found an entertaining and attractive way to teach the letters to his two year old daughter Zoë, why the project name is "A to Zoe". To create each of the letters of the alphabet Tommy used candy, including eggs, kale, hummus, macaroni noodles, olives and sunflower seeds (which Zoë calls “flower seeds”). Adorable, but the difficulty of the project is that each letter was constructed using a food that begin with the same letter, so the "N" is made with nachos and "T" with tomatoes. Also in each picture we see the little hand of Zoë entering box to take a bite of each letter.

The Merry Cemetery of Sapanta, Romania

Thus we find farmers, carpenters, shepherds, artisans, among many scenes depicting symbolic or beautiful life of the deceased. The Merry Cemetery became an open-air museum and a national tourist attraction. The sentences are sometimes lyrical, sometimes ironic, but always sincere. The Merry Cemetery of Sapanta, called "Popular Art Museum" is a pride, unique community in the world.
