The Willamette Meteorite

The Willamette meteorite, referred to as Tomanowos or "Spirit Power" by the Clackamas Chinook people, is the largest space rock found in North America and one of the biggest iron meteorites in the world. It weighs about 15.5 tons (14 metric tonnes), which is equal to roughly 31,000 pounds or 14,150 kilograms. This large interstellar object is approximately 10 feet in length, 6.5 feet in width, and 4.25 feet in height. Its composition includes over 91% iron, 7.6% nickel, and small amounts of cobalt, gallium, germanium, and iridium. It is believed to be a fragment of the metallic core of a differentiated planetesimal that formed in the early stages of the solar system's development.

Devil’s Kettle Waterfall: Minnesota’s Mysterious Vanishing Waterfall

In the deep part of the forest in the U.S. state of Minnesota, there lies one of the most fascinating natural mysteries known—Devil’s Kettle Waterfall. The unusual waterfall is located in Judge C.R. Magney State Park, near the town of Grand Marais in northeastern Minnesota. Unlike ordinary waterfalls, Devil’s Kettle divides into two streams: one continues down the valley as usual, while the other falls into a large circular hole called the Devil’s Kettle and vanishes without a trace.

A mysterious flame sitting behind a small waterfall located in the Shale Creek Preserve in Western New York, USA. A small alcove at the waterfall's base emits natural gas, which can be lit to produce a small flame, although it can be extinguished and must occasionally be re-lit. It is one of a few hundred "natural" eternal flames around the world, fed by gas seeping to the Earth's surface from underground, said Arndt Schimmelmann, a researcher at Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind.

When we heard the name Paris, our mind start imagine the full frame of  Eiffel Tower. At first, Texas' tower was designed to be five feet taller than Tennessee's, at this moment Tennessee tower took the lead and it was 60 feet tall. Walter’s Wiggles on Angels Landing Trail, Utah

Walter’s Wiggles on Angels Landing Trail viewed from above in Zion National Park, Utah, USA. Walter’s Wiggles is a series of 21 short switchbacks carved into the face of the cliff, the serpentine switchbacks steeply ascend the north face, each wiggle no more than 20-25 feet in length. The trail was cut from a sheer drop of solid rock in 1926 and remains one of the park’s most spectacular construction wonders. The top offers wonderful views of Zion Canyon. This area was protected as Mukuntuweap National Monument by President William Howard Taft in 1909 and was later renamed, Zion National Park. Zion is located on the Colorado Plateau but borders the Basin and Range Province.

Fly Geyser , or Fly Ranch Geyser, is a small geothermal geyser that can be found on private land in the black rock desert of Washoe County. It is located approximately 32km north of Gerlach. Fly Geyser is located near the edge of Fly Reservoir in the Hualapai Geothermal Flats. An entirely natural phenomenon that nature gives unusual characteristics, as if made for our enjoyment. It is a geyser with several outlets that is in a rural part northwest of the state of Nevada, USA. The Fly Geyser is near the Burning Man festival, which is held outdoors every year.

The Native Indians Village Supai, The American Indian Tribes of Arizona

Although the Grand Canyon in Arizona is one of the most visit-able and popular destinations, it still has its secrets. One of these is the Indian Village Supai or Havasupai located at the bottom of Havasu Canyon, possibly the most isolated village in the United States. The Havasupai people are an American Indian tribe who have lived in the Grand Canyon for at least the past 800 years and is the smallest Indian Nation in America, with about 600 people, This native american language speak Yuman. Havasu means “blue-green water” and pai “people”. The village has been inhabited by the Havasupai since A.D. 1300.

Calico Ghost Town, a former silver mining town in San Bernardino County (California), United States. Calico Mountains, founded in 1881 and was California's largest producer of silver in the mid-1880s. Calico was home to over 500 mines. In 1890, the town had a population of 3,500, with nationals of China, England, Ireland, Greece, France, the Netherlands, and Americans living there. Over a 12-year period, Calico produced more than $20 million worth of silver ore.

The Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C

The Vietnam Veterans Memorial is a national memorial in Washington, D.C, It honors members of the U.S. armed forces who fought in the Vietnam War, service members who died in service in Vietnam/South East Asia, and those service members who were unaccounted and missing during the War. The memorial was designed by Maya Lin in 1981, and dedicated on November 13, 1982. The memorial’s design consists of two gabbro walls embedded in the ground, with one wall pointing towards the Washington Monument, and the other pointing towards the Lincoln Memorial.

Point Betsie lighthouse standing on dune of the northeast shore of Lake Michigan, at the southern entrance to the Manitou Passage — north of Frankfort in Benzie County in Northern Michigan. The cylindrical tower is 39 feet tall. The quick 4 years construction completed in 1858 with total cost of $5,000 and since 1859 its began to start service. This was one of the earliest Life Saving Stations, and was run under the auspices of the U.S. Life-Saving Service. Known now as Point Betsie, this historic landmark found on the eastern shore of Lake Michigan was originally named Pointe Aux Bec Scies, meaning point of sawbill ducks, by French explorers.

Oregon-based artist Scott Bisson, In the age of seventeen Scott expose his talent for glass sculpting during a high school chemistry class. Bending glass tubing over a flame in a high school chemistry class piqued his interest and unknowingly a lifetime obsession and career began. Since then, he has studied with five different masters, as well as at the world renowned Pilchuck School with Robert A. Mickelson, and has met and observed Dante Marioni, William Morris, and Peter Novotney. Scott works with both blown and flameworked glass, both of which require very different skills. His flameworked pieces, such as frogs and geckos, are intricate and lively. Using a blowpipe, Scott brings together his skill, knowledge, and intensity to produce larger pieces such as paperweights and pitchers. All sculptures are more beautiful than original, just seem like all are freezed and waiting for infusion.

Alamere Falls is a waterfall in Point Reyes National Seashore, Marin County, California. Alamere Falls is a rare "tidefall", a waterfall that flows directly into the ocean. The falls can be reached by following the Coast Trail from the Palomarin Trailhead. Alamere Falls is an extremely special waterfall, comprised of the upper fall, middle fall, and lower is the main fall. Alamere Falls so unique is that it is 1 of only 2 major waterfalls, also known as tidefalls, in the state of California that plunge directly into the Pacific Ocean.  The other waterfall is McWay Falls in Big Sur. Alamere Falls listed as 1 of the top 10 lesser known most beautiful waterfalls in the world.
