Veerabhadra temple, a Hindu temple, is located in Lepakshi in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Virabhadra is the temple's emanation, and it is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple was built in the 16th century and featured Vijayanagara architecture. There are various carvings and paintings on almost every surface. A huge Nandi (bull), the mount of Shiva, is located approximately 200m from the temple, and It is made from one block of stone, which is believed to be the largest of its kind.

Bikaner Camel Festival

Bikaner Camel Festival or The Camel Fair  is organized by the Bikaner Tourism, Arts and Culture Department and is celebrated in January every year in honor of the Bikaner Desert Ship Camel. This fair is one of the famous festivals in Bikaner, as compared to other festivals in Rajasthan, is Indina. The festival mainly includes spectacular performances of camel dance, camel racing, neck shaking, camel riding etc.

Bibi Ka Maqbara: The Taj Mahal of the Deccan

Standing amid carefully planned gardens in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, Bibi Ka Maqbara is one of the most recognisable Mughal monuments in the Deccan. Its white marble dome, four slender minarets, and symmetrical gardens immediately remind visitors of the Taj Mahal in Agra. Because of this resemblance, the monument is often called the “Taj Mahal of the Deccan” or the “Mini Taj of the Deccan.”

Thimmamma Marrimanu: The Indian Forest Formed by One Tree

In the dry landscape of southern India, there is a remarkable sight that looks more like a forest than a single tree. Thimmamma Marrimanu, a giant banyan tree in Andhra Pradesh, spreads its branches across several acres, creating a vast natural canopy supported by thousands of aerial roots.

“Marri Chettu” or “Marrimanu” literally translates to “Banyan Tree” in the Telugu language (Ficus benghalensis). Located at Gootibayalu near Kadiri, the tree is one of the most extraordinary natural attractions in the region. Its immense network of branches and supporting roots makes it remarkably clear to understand why people often describe it as an Indian forest formed by a single tree.

Mahabat Maqbara, Junagadh: A Fairy-Tale Mausoleum

Tucked into a busy street in the old quarter of Junagadh, Gujarat, stands a building that seems almost too elaborate for its surroundings. Mahabat Maqbara rises above the city with onion-shaped domes, spiralling minarets, French windows, Gothic columns and richly decorated stonework. At first glance, it can look like something borrowed from a Gothic fairy tale rather than a 19th-century royal mausoleum.

Clint - The Prince of Colors

Edmund Thomas Clint (1976-1983), was an Indian child prodigy. His life was marked by his ability to draw over 25,000 paintings. Clint was the only child of MT Joseph, Chinnamma Joe and Chinnamma. Clint Eastwood was his name. He enjoyed painting traditional Hindu events and festivals near his Kochi, Kerala home. He was six years old when he died from kidney failure in 1983. However, he left behind more than 25,000 artworks. Drawing such paintings would normally require years of training and analysis. His work was displayed at two exhibitions in Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala, in 1995 and 2007. He was just five years old when he won first prize in a competition for artists under the age of 18.
