StoBoSa Hillside Homes Artwork: is one of the new tourist attractions near Baguio City. Located along the main road of La Trinidad, Benguet, Philippines. This can be considered a huge artwork with beautiful and colorful houses located on the Barangay Balili hillside.  Inspired by Favela paintings in Brazil, with the idea of painting all the houses with different colors, "Valley of colors" is a great welcome for any visitors to come With La Trinidad city, Philippines.

"Valley of colors" officially known as the Stobosa Hillside Homes Artwork or the Colors of StoBoSa Hillside Homes Artwork, The Colors of Stobosa is a community art created by Tam-Awan Village and is a well-known tourist attraction in La Trinidad, Benguet. The single artwork is composed of the paintwork from multiple houses.

The StoBoSa Hillside Home Artwork is the name of the artwork. It is also known simply as the Colors Of StoBoSa. "Stobosa", a combination of the names of three of the places where the artwork is located, is a portmanteau. These three locales are located in Barangay Balili.

This artwork was commissioned by the Rev-Bloom Urban Rehabilitation Tourism Campaign, a project that was conceptualized by the Department of Tourism Cordillera Administrative Region under Regional Director Venus Tan as well as the La Trinidad local government under Edna Tabanan.

The Tam-Awan Artist Village group of the Chanum Foundation was responsible for the design of the artwork. They were led by solar artist Jordan Mang-Osan and Nino Jose B. Selriosa, Ged Alangui, Clinton Aniversaryo, and Jenny Lorenzo. Gloria Agasen was the project coordinator.

Colors of StoBoSa


A total of more than 180 houses with more than 18 thousand square meters of land, more than 2,800 gallons of paint, 1,000 gallons of primer, and over 500 colored gallons have been used to complete this huge artwork. And a special thing, "the color valley" is the result of efforts, together with hands for half a year of more than 500 individuals including villagers, artists, students, love Local prayers, and many other volunteer organizations and so they were chosen from many designs. Since the original area was a rich source of sunflowers, the main motif for the artwork was the sunflower. The design also includes rainbows.

The artwork was painted in February 2016. It was officially inaugurated on June 23, 2016. However, it was not expected to be finished until August 2016. The artwork was 80 percent complete at the time it was unveiled.

The houses were painted by 520 residents and volunteers from the three sites. The training began in January 2016. After the color was applied, the outlines were then applied. Davies Paints provided the paint, and other materials were donated by the local government. The paint used to cover 2,800 gallons cost?2million. The painting is expected to last five years. Retouching the work is scheduled for mid-2018.
