Although it is a beach, there is no sand here. The beach is located in the world's largest wetland and reed marsh, covered with a native species of seaweed called Suaeda Salsa. From April to May, they begin to grow and develop rapidly. At this time, they still have a green colour like other plants. But when it comes to autumn, Suaeda Salsa turns a characteristic red colour, forming a magnificent red field.

The Red Beach Dock is located in the estuary of the Liao River Delta, 18 km from the reception centre, which is the only one in China and even the world with a pure wooden walking track that attracts tourists due to its wooden structure. The Nine-Zigzag Bridge on the dock is 680 m long, supported by 519 wooden poles, and spans from the bank into the sea. The coverage of the wooden platform reaches more than 2000 square metres. On the beach are 1998 wooden poles, standing out quietly on the waves.

The Chinese government has protected the Panjin Red Sea since 1988. Only a small area is open to tourists. Not only is it a popular destination in China, but it is also home to 399 species of wildlife and more than 260 species of birds. The list includes the crow crane and the red-billed gull, both of which are rare and endangered birds.

The Red Sea of Ban Cam is most attractive in September, when the area has turned red, creating a poetic and beautiful sky. When the tide recedes and the sea currents decrease, the seaweed carpet is exposed. This entire space, up to 100 km², is red, burning a whole autumn field. All create a more spectacular scene than ever. If you plan to visit, make sure you time it to enjoy the full beauty of the Red Sea.
