The Star-Shaped Sand Grains on the Beach of Iriomote Island, Japan

The star-shaped sand grains are found along the coast in the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean. This is one of the most unusual types of sand in the world. However called sand but actually they are different from ordinary sand lot, it is the bones of one species of protozoa in the ocean, over millions of years of fossil skeletons and mixed with sea sand. So it looks very much like the spiky star. The local people believe that the star sand from the wings of fairies fall. And until now, the story of the star sand has been brought out since. Those who come here have brought their own special sand.

Tangalooma Ship Wrecks Island of Moreton, Australia

The ship wrecks of Tangalooma are located on the western side of Moreton Island is the third largest sand island in the world, located on the eastern side of Moreton Bay, on the coast of south-east Queensland, Australia. Moreton Island lies 58 kilometres northeast of the Queensland capital, Brisbane. The island is 95% National Park and a popular destination for day trippers, four wheel driving, camping, recreational angling and whale watching and just a 75 minute ferry ride from Brisbane. Together with Fraser Island, Moreton Island forms the largest sand structure in the world.

Gornergrat | The Second Highest Railway in Europe

Gornergrat is a railway station located to the west of the Gornergrat summit, in the Swiss canton of Valais and at a height of 3,089 meters or 10,135 ft above sea level, which makes the Gornergrat  bahn railway the second highest railway in Europe after the Jungfrau, and the highest open-air railway of the continent. The line opened in 1898, and was the first electric rack railway to be built in Switzerland. The Gornergrat is a starting point for many hikes, as it lies surrounded by 29 peaks rising above 4,000 meter or 13,123 ft in the Alps and several glaciers, including the Gorner Glacier, which is billed as the second longest glacier in the Alps. At the end of the line on Gornergrat, the Matterhorn is visible on a clear day. It is also a popular skiing area. Work on the railway started in 1896, five years after the Visp-Zermatt-Bahn had linked Zermatt to Visp and the Rhone Valley. The line opened on August 20, 1898, and was electrified from the start. Initially it only operated in summer, but year-round operation was extended to the lower section of the line in 1929, and to the summit in 1941.

The Sunland ‘Big Baobab’ is in Modjadjiskloof in Limpopo Province, South Africa and is famous internationally for being the widest of its species in the world. Africa is symbolised by these magnificent trees. The Sunland Big Baobab is carbon dated to be around 6000 years old. The Sunland Baobab has even made the front page of the Wall Street Journal! When baobabs become a thousand years old, they begin to hollow inside. In the Big Baobab this has resulted in wonderful caverns and caves, where the world famous Baobab Tree Bar and Wine Cellar now amaze visitors. The tree bar can accommodate more than 60 people!

Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument, New Mexico

The Kasha-Katuwe or else they are called "Rock-Tents" or "Tent rocks" located 60 km southwest of Santa Fe, a city in the state of New Mexico near near Cochiti, USA, is a Bureau of Land Management (BLM) managed site, on the height of 1737-1951 m (5700-6400 feet) above sea level. Looking at them from the side, once you know where it came from such a title. Name Rocks Tents appeared because of its unusual appearance of rocks - they really look like a tent city. Cone-shaped tent of formation - the result of the vigorous activity of volcanic eruptions about 7.6 million years ago, under the influence of which formed the rocks of pumice, ash and residues of volcanic tuff. For many years, these rocks acted erosion, as well as wind and water. They carved in the rocks canyons, crevices, deep and picturesque gorges, polished rock, making a beautiful smooth rocks framing semicircles.

Teufelsbrucke Andermatt, Switzerland

Teufelsbrucke also known as Devil's Bridge - The name of the three bridges across the river Rёys or Ruess in the Alps Switzerland, near the village of Andermatt, 12 km north of the Pass of St. Gotthard . Wooden bridge in Andermatt existed from 1230 to 1707 . The first stone bridge spanned the gorge Rёys in 1595 . It is named for an old local legend regarding its construction by the Devil, one of many old European Devil's Bridges with similar creation myths. In memory of the legend on a rock near the Devil's Bridge red paint were painted devil and goat. These images are still preserved. Devil's Bridge was a narrow stone arch length of about 25 meters, thrown over the gorge at a height of 22 - 23 meters above the roaring rapid stream.

Faro a Colón | Columbus Lighthouse, Dominican Republic

Faro a Colón or Columbus Lighthouse is the most unique attraction in the Santo Domingo Este, Dominican Republic, in tribute to Christopher Columbus. The Columbus Lighthouse is a cross-shaped monument made of reinforced concrete. Its dimensions are 688 feet (210 m) by 195 feet (59 m). There are 157 beams of light that emanate towards the sky from the structure and a rotating beam, which can be seen for miles. Reinforced concrete building is located on a hill and with its height offers a fascinating spectacle to Santo Domingo. Modern buildings are surrounded by greenery, creating a unique flavor of the city. Large bowl topped with a lighthouse, but it operates only once a year, on the day of the discovery of America, It was funded by the Latin American states and the total cost of construction was approximately US$70 million. It was originally conceived as a mausoleum and a monument to the great navigator Christopher Columbus. The monument is both a mausoleum and a museum showcasing objects including a boat from Cuba and Colombian jewelry.

The Seven Stars in Kyushu, Japan

One of the newest luxury trains to debut in Japan is the Seven Stars in Kyushu. This luxury train, which made its first run in October 2013, gets its name from several different aspects of Kyushu. Although its name actually means "nine states," Kyushu has seven prefectures: Fukuoka, Saga, Nagasaki, Oita, Miyazaki, Kumamoto, and Kagoshima.  The seven stars are also meant to represent the 7 most important aspects of a visit to Kyushu: hot springs, nature, power spots, history & culture, food, the friendliness of its people, and its train system.

Yareta or Llareta – The 3,000 Years Old Plant

Yareta (Azorella compacta, also known in Spanish as "Llareta", or Azorella, Yareta in past), a flowering plant of the South American family Apiaceae. It looks like green cotton or looks like a green cloud on the ground. It occurs in the grassy plains of Puna in the Andes in Peru, Bolivia, Chile, and in western Argentina at 3200 to 5250m altitude. Puna flowers are characterized by alpine bunch-grasses infused with herbs, grass, mosses, mosses, ferns, pillow plants, and occasional low-lying trees, with sedges and rushes in poorly ventilated areas.
