Turnip Rock | Port Austin, Michigan

Turnip Rock is located at the shores of Lake Huron, Michigan, USA. This beautiful rock is formed in a tiny tidal island. The name called Turnip Rock form it's tunip-like shape. The resemblance to Turnip is especially reinforce due to the tree on the of the rock surface. Turnip Rock was eroded by waves erosion over thousands of years, giving it the unique shape. The private property around the Turnip Rock, so the only way to get the rock by boats or kayaks etc, but in winter time most of the lake is frozen.
