Waterfall Restaurant Villa Escudero, Philippines

Hacienda Escudero Villa is located in San Pablo, Philippines. The world's first waterfall restaurant is located near the foot of the waterfall. The hacienda-style resort became popular not only among the locals but also among tourists from around the world. Villa Escudero Resort attracts travellers with the chance to enjoy the beauty of almost untouched nature.

The quite popular and unique restaurant sits at the picturesque waterfall. Bamboo tables are submerged in natural water to a depth of about 15-20 cm and are only a few metres from the local Labasin waterfall. To visit this restaurant, tourists will have to roll up their trousers to their knees. Guests can enjoy delicious local cuisine while taking in the beauty of the falls. Philippine cuisine is very kind and is a mixture of Malay, Spanish, and Chinese culinary traditions. After lunch or dinner, any visitor to the restaurant can swim in the clear water.

Labasin is not a natural waterfall; in fact, it is a spillway of a dam, the first working hydroelectric plant of the Philippines, Don Arsenio Eskyudro, built in 1929. An industrialist pioneer built the dam to supply water for coconut plantations. In 1981, the public opened these plantations as tourist attractions. Tourists are driven through the countryside on a Carabao cart, surrounded by park-like settings while being serenaded by locals. Visitors can go rafting on native bamboo rafts. Villa Escudero is an open-air museum where you can learn more about the culture and history of the Philippines, with a rich collection of works of art, oriental ceramics, costumes, furniture, weapons, and aircraft. Among other attractions are a live cultural dance show and a sports area, and you can even visit many other restaurants, but not in these wet places.

Visitor Via Tsuji said, 'Arsenio Esudero and Rosario Adap, The Museum area is a replica of a long-famed Intramuros church.' It contains the most eclectic collection of artefacts we have ever seen, including colonial religious art, taxidermist animals, Oriental ceramics, weapons, and costumes.
